A New Horizon
After deliberating for a while, I have decided to reorganise Project Dungeonshot. I am now moving away from the dungeon theme and pursuing a story-driven game. Using the existing mechanics of the project, the game takes place within a world being corrupted by evil. The player is on a quest to find a cure to save their mother from this corruption taking over her. The goal of this project will be to have ten engaging levels increasing in difficulty, compelling story and memorable encounters.
So what have I done so far?
Below are some of the work in progress of level 1. I am creating a vertical slice of the game to give out to people and receive feedback on the game. Why? This is to create a better experience for people. If people don’t enjoy it or there are huge problems, I will need to rethink the project's scope. It is better to find the issues at the start of the game rather than later in development.
